Admissions Calendar
In making enrollment decisions, Aurora School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, and gender, national or ethnic origin. Aurora welcomes students from a wide variety of economic and social backgrounds; including gay/lesbian, adopted and single parent families as well as children with physical disabilities.
Aurora seeks to enroll children who will benefit from its academic program and its method of teaching. In addition, Aurora will give preference to qualified siblings and children who will assist the school in achieving a balanced and diverse student body.
The Admissions Calendar for the 2012 - 2013 school year
- Parent Information Night
November 3, 2011 - 7pm to 9pm
- Application materials and fees
Sibling application deadline: December 2, 2011
New applicants Priority Deadline: January 27, 2012
Late applications are accepted but a space may not be available
Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by December 1
$75 application fee for all applicants
- Financial Aid forms
SSS forms due: January 2012
Late applicants: Forms must be completed within one week of receipt
- Tour Aurora School
Group tours conducted by parent docents are on Wednesday and Friday mornings in November, December and January
- Student assessment and interviews
(Aurora does not use standardized testing in the admission process)
Siblings of continuing families: December 6, 2011
Priority applicants: January 28, February 2 and 4, 2012
Upper grade level interviews: February 2012
- Notification of admissions decisions
Siblings of continuing families: December 9, 2011
New applicants: March 9, 2012
(Date is in conjunction with the East Bay Independent Schools)
- Enrollment contracts and payments due
Continuing students: February 15, 2012
New students: March 16, 2012
Late applicants: Forms must be completed within one week of receipt
