It is the involvement, dedication and support of each family that makes the Aurora Community a vibrant, creative and inclusive environment.
The mission of Aurora's Advancement Office is to create and administer a comprehensive and on-going program of fund raising and community relations to advance the mission of the school.
Primary to the operation of the office is the careful stewardship of Aurora's constituents while consistently practicing the highest standard of ethics. Essential to this effort is the development of strong and supportive bonds with the families, faculty, other employees, alumni and friends of the school, creating an environment where both philanthropic and volunteer contributions are recognized and sincerely appreciated.
Fundraising at Aurora
Fundraising is as integral to Aurora's budget as it is to every other independent school in the Bay Area and the nation. Our parent volunteers support a more diverse and fulfilling education for our students. The funds we raise provide approximately 10% of our total budget. They help pay for art, music, Spanish instruction, physical education, field trips, the 4/5-class trip, parent education and professional development for teachers.
Our fundraising efforts also allow our School to complete special projects and facilities upgrades. Funds we raise support the nearly 12% of Aurora students who receive tuition assistance. We have created a fundraising program, which reaches out to our community and beyond to seek ongoing support for our School.
