Ways to Give

Gifts can be made in a variety of ways. Please contact Rachel Siegel in Aurora's Development Office,
(510) 429-2606 x 226 for more information. She is happy to help you select the method that works best for you.

Employee Matching Gifts

Many members of the Aurora community work for companies with matching gift programs that will match their employees' charitable gifts to independent schools like Aurora. Your company's HR department is a good place to start to see if your employer has such a program. The process usually involves you filling out a form. In some cases our Director of Development signs off on the form as well. Matching gift programs are a relatively easy way for your donation to increase in value. Companies currently making matching gifts to Aurora include: Chevron, Levi Strauss, PG&E and Wells Fargo.

Gifts of Stock and Securities

Gifts of appreciated stock are a great way to support Aurora and receive significant tax benefits. To ensure that you receive proper credit and prompt acknowledgement of your gift, please contact or instruct your broker to contact our Development Office, at (510) 428-2606 x226.

Gifts-in-Kind

We welcome gifts such as computers, cameras, software, library books, furniture, professional services and other items relevant to our educational programs. Your accountant can help you figure the dollar value of gifts-in-kind. Please contact the Development Office to discuss gift delivery.

Bequests and Planned Gifts

Some individuals choose to provide for Aurora in their estate plans. These planned gifts, often in the form of wills, bequests, trusts and insurance, are a testament to a commitment to the values and mission of Aurora and contribute significantly to Aurora's programs and long-term stability. Your estate planner can provide more information about this option. Please contact our Development Office if you wish to discuss a planned gift to Aurora.

Book Fairs

The Aurora Book Fair is held twice a year to coincide with parent-teacher conferences. A wide selection of books is available for children and adults, and a percentage of each purchase is donated back to us to help the Aurora library grow.
