Welcome to the Aurora School website. Thank you for your interest in our school.
Aurora is a dynamic community of teachers and learners, dedicated to developing individuals who are academically excellent, socially compassionate, and emotionally secure.
At Aurora, we are committed to the principles of progressive education. What does this mean? It means, first and foremost, that we recognize that no two students learn the same way, we do not force arbitrary academic requirements and benchmarks on our students, and we acknowledge the value of inquiry and discovery, which are the stepping stones to knowledge.
We have no pre-defined notions of achievement, success, or self. Rather we honor the uniqueness of each student, parent, and staff member. Academic excellence and academic rigor abound at Aurora, which we believe is consistent with a progressive educational approach.
I am thrilled and honored to be part of a dedicated team of teachers and staff that are committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and to helping each student fulfill his or her potential. I am proud of our parents, who are active members of this learning community, and whose involvement and support strengthens the educational experience of our students.
